It's a Boy!!!

Meet Robert Knox Hill (we will call him Knox.)  He's growing fast and getting more wiggly day by day.  We're so happy we're having a little boy and look forward to his arrival.  I need me a hunting partner and Kinleigh is in need of a little play mate.  Speaking of Kinleigh, she's now walking!  She's also been having a rough time with her big molars as they continue to come in, which keeps us awake throughout the night as she screams periodically.  It's hard to believe we're going to be a little family of four soon.

A spoonful of Rice Cereal

Kinleigh had her 4 month checkup.  She now weighs 12 pounds 2 ounces and 24.5 inches long!  The doctor told us to add rice cereal to her diet, which she doesn't like.

Love this face.

Strong as an Oak

My cousins and I decided it would be a wonderful idea to buy an oak tree in remembrance of Papaw V.L. life.  When he was born, his mother planted an oak, which he out lived by a few years.  We planted the tree in his front yard.  Everyone took turns digging the hole.

Families are Forever

"Families are Forever" I keep saying those 3 words over and over! They give me such comfort.  My sweet Papaw passed away on January 17.  Our family lost the Patriarch and this country lost one of the few left of "The Greatest Generation". I'm so blessed to have had him in my life! He was such an amazing example of a selfless, giving, loving, and hard working person! I'm grateful for the time I spent with him, listening to his stories of how things use to be, learning from his experiences, and trying to soak up all of his knowledge! I hope I can remember the things he taught me, the stories he said, and pass it on to my children.  I know we will meet again, but I sure will miss him so much til then. I love you Papaw V.L.

Kinleigh

Sorry it's been so long since my last post...

Surprise!  We had a kid!  Kinleigh Mae Hill was born on September 27, 2011.  She weighed 5 lb 3 oz and was 18 inches long.  She's a little doll and my other love in life.  She's been quite the good little girl, if I don't say so myself.  She's gotten to the point where she's sleeping for 9 hours straight now, thank heavens.  She loves smiling, looking at lights, and being observant.

I got promoted to Sergeant in the Army.  However, I don't have too much time left on my contract.  I get out in October.  Again, thank heavens.  It's really gotten old...

Kelli is working at Forest General Hospital on the top floor.  She doesn't like it too much because she gets overloaded with patients.  She's currently in the process of trying to move do a department that only works Monday-Friday and is off on weekends and holidays.

I'm currently going to Jones County Junior College full time.  I'm working towards a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering over at University of Southern Mississippi.  Here's to luck!

Kelli and I are currently looking at houses outside of the city limits of Petal.  We've found a few that we like so far.  Hopefully we'll be able to decide on one soon and move in to our new home within the next three months.

December

December brought many ups and downs for my family.  Both my sisters graduated with their masters degrees! There were several birthdays: my Mama, Papaw's 88th, Keela, Tracie, and Jason! On the down note, my Papaw V.L. was in a car wreck. So he was put in the hospital to repair his broken hip, wrist, and many other injuries.  I had to work on Christmas day, so we did family gathers a bit different to work around my schedule.
